Achieving Optimum Health
“Optimal health is not only the absence of disease but the presence of health in the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social domains, including financial health.”
Introduction
Optimal health is paramount at all levels, from the individual to the society in which we live and the environment that surrounds us. We must start thinking not only about having money and possessions but also about mental, emotional, physical, social and spiritual well-being.
Mental health
The truth is that the mind is the harbinger of all realms.
With the right mindset, even poor people can be happy. On the other hand, if your thinking is not right, you can be a very unhappy person, no matter how much material wealth you have. Therefore, Gandhi said:
A healthy mind is therefore one who has a mindset that brings happiness and fulfillment to themselves and the world around them. It offers the ability to see things through clear thinking, great insight, and an impartial mind.
Being able to see things with an unbiased mindset is not easy. It is difficult to notice and observe events and phenomena unfolding without judgment. We habitually associate emotions and feelings with events and let those emotions guide our actions. Our likes and dislikes for certain things are closely related to our emotions.
Emotional health
Emotions can act impulsively. A high level of self-awareness in this area is therefore very helpful. In fact, it’s essential to our well-being. Things and relationships that take years to build can be destroyed in a moment of anger.
There are positive emotions and negative emotions. We need to cultivate positive emotions such as love, compassion and joy, and eliminate negative emotions such as fear, anger and hatred.
When asked about this, an Indian sage explained with a story:
An old man said to his grandson.
The boy asked, “Grandpa, who will win?”
The old man replied, “I fed it.”
Sometimes we seem to have no control over our emotions. Not true. The truth is that our ability to manage our emotions depends on how well we understand them, especially how they arise. The sooner you become aware of how your emotions arise, the better you can manage them.
A growing body of research shows that our well-being is closely linked to our emotional and mental health. Strengthen. Instead, they are depressed by negative mental and emotional states. Stress, worry, anger, and fear are therefore some of the conditions that can lead to physical ailments such as high blood pressure, heart disease, peptic ulcers, and depression.
Healthy body
Therefore, in order to maintain optimal physical health, we need to pay attention not only to the body, but also to the mind and emotions.
On a physical level, adequate sleep and rest, proper nutrition, regular exercise, and a healthy, pollution-free environment keep our bodies healthy.
Mental health
Through the ages, sages have continually made known and taught us that we are spiritual beings in nature.
Medicine cannot reveal our psychic nature, but there is much circumstantial evidence that we are foolish to ignore it.Those who have had a near-death experience (NDE), near-death consciousness Stories of people dying of heightened ailments, or simply being cured of an “incurable disease,” show that life is more than just a physical condition.
The teachings of the world’s major religions are based on the belief that we are spiritual beings by nature. According to these teachings, our physical existence is secondary.
While it may be true that we need to focus more on our mental qualities than our physical qualities, it’s hard for most people to do so, at least not anytime soon. There is none. Mindset, however, can be a great place to start.
Financial soundness
But on a more mundane level, most people are still stuck on things like how to survive each day and where to pick up their next check for their home installment.
So, in practice, we need to find a way to achieve an economic situation where, in theory, we can escape the shackles of “forced” labor. That’s what makes the concept of financial freedom so appealing. According to this concept, he should strive to have at least one source of income that he can passively generate without working.
This is what Robert Kiyosaki calls “passive income”.
According to him, passive income can only be achieved by being an investor or business owner, not a sole proprietor or employee. To become an investor or business owner, you must invest time and money to obtain financial information. Unlike IQ or emotional intelligence, financial intelligence can be gained through self-study.
Consult a trusted accountant, banker, or financial her planner for a financial health check.
Healthy relationship
“There is no such thing as a self-contained island.”
As a physician, I am in a unique position to face and comfort dying patients. One of the most important things I’ve observed is that dying people don’t ask about their money or possessions. Instead, they focus their remaining energy and strength on trying to heal a relationship that has been damaged.
Therefore, building and nurturing healthy relationships is critical to our well-being. Unfortunately, this is often overlooked until it’s too late. If there is forgiveness that must be done or be forgiven, leaving things in the last few minutes can lead to unfulfilled wishes for the end.
